On March 20, 2024, the Department of Finance and Accounting of our college, together with CDel Accounting Online, held a special lecture on career planning for college students majoring in finance and economics at the lecture hall of the library on Chang’an Campus. Ren Chengyuan and Meng Qingfeng, managers from CDel Accounting Online, some teachers from the Department of Finance and Accounting, and students of the 2023 Grade Business Administration Program participated in this activity. The event was divided into three parts.

First, Teacher Guo Yujing introduced the purpose of the activity. It was mainly to help students better plan their college life and avoid wasting their four years of university. In addition, he hoped that everyone could have a clearer understanding of the Financial Management major, so as to make more rational choices of their favorite majors in the upcoming major distribution.

Second, Teacher Gao from CDel Accounting Online delivered a speech entitled The Power of Belief to the students. He introduced important contents such as the development directions after college graduation and the workplace soft skills that students should possess. Meanwhile, he helped students make college plans and provided suggestions on obtaining finance-related certificates, including the Primary Accounting Certificate, Intermediate Accounting Certificate, CPA and ACCA.

Finally, outstanding graduates of the Financial Management major were invited to share their career choices and past puzzles in college study. Six graduates, Liang Yanjun, Ye Zhan, Lyu Wen, Zhang Yanhui, Jia Jing and Zhao Manyu, who are now engaged in taxation, civil service, Li Auto, Xi'an Shaangu Power Co., Ltd., university teaching and other fields respectively, shared their experience in different industries, as well as their stories and experience in career selection. This has effectively guided students to clarify their future goals and make sound career plans.

This special lecture effectively helped students clear up blind spots and obstacles in career selection, provided students with a great deal of practical information, and achieved remarkable results.
